I wonder why children don't tell when sexually abused! But I was able to get some facts on the reasons why they don't tell.
Victims try to cope with lingering and unexplainable feelings of shame and guilt at the abuse they have been forced to endure.
A victim will not tell because he or she will become a subject of pity, mockery or negative attention in the society.
That is exactly what happened to Muji (not real name) of 14-year-old who was sexually abused and raped by a 60-year-old bachelor - Segun Benson,
Segun Benson has been accused of raping a 14-year-old primary school pupil in Agege.
Segun, the only surviving child of his mother who has refused to be married, was said to have lured the girl into his room with N50 where he forcefully had a canal knowledge of her.
Narrating her gory experience, the victim said, “I am in primary six. On Friday, he gave me N50 to buy sweet for myself. He then asked me to caress his private parts. When I told him I would tell my daddy, he said I should not go home.
“He took me to his house around Railway Line where he raped me. I was there from 3pm till around 7pm. I started bleeding from his house and when I got home the blood did not stop. But I kept it secret until Saturday when people saw it.”
The victim’s mother, Taibat narrated how she found out.
“I have seven kids and she is the third child. I was sleeping when people called me that my daughter had been raped. I have never met the man before though he lives on the street. The government should take over the case and do what is right.”
A resident who raised the alarm when she saw the girl bleeding added her side of the story, “I saw her writhing in pain in a bathroom. She said she wanted to defecate, but I saw blood coming out of her private parts. “I raised the alarm and when other people arrived at the scene, she said it was Segun that raped her.”
A relative, Okunloye Kehinde, said the victim’s private parts had been damaged. “I got a call around 2pm that fateful Saturday. When I got there, I saw a crowd of people around her. I saw a container filled with blood. Even her clothes were drenched in blood.”
But the accused' mother was seen pleading for help. She said Segun is her only surviving child.
“Segun is my only child. I had four other children and they are all dead. He is the reason for my living. I don’t know why he did what he did.
“Each time I tried to get him a wife, he refused and told me he was old enough to look for a woman for himself. He said that many times without getting a wife. Please help me because he’s my hope.”
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kenneth Nwosu, said the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba.
I hope earnestly that Lagos State Government's Sex Offender list will function like what is obtainable in other parts of the world.

The story you are about to read will shock you as a teen of 17-years-old was dating her father and still proud of it.
A teenager has told how she became engaged to her dad after the two were reunited following more than a decade apart.
The American woman was estranged from her dad growing up, but the two got back in touch when she was 17. After chatting online for a few weeks the two met – and felt an instant attraction.
Speaking to New York Magazine’s Science of Us the anonymous woman, now 18, said:
“It was so weird and confusing. I was seeing my dad for the first time in forever but it was also like, He’s so good-looking!”I saw him as my dad but then also part of me was like, I’m meeting this guy who I have been talking to over the internet and really connecting with and I find him attractive.”
She went to stay with him for a week and after just five days the pair discussed their attraction to one another, before losing her virginity to him.
They are now a couple, have become engaged, and even plan on having children together.
Some of their family members are aware of their relationship – and treat them “just like any other couple” – but her mum is still in the dark.
But the daughter says she will tell her mother once she and her dad have moved to New Jersey where consensual, incestuous relationships where both parties are over 18 are not punished.
She hopes her mother will still want to come and visit her grandchildren.
Asked if she was worried about the potential genetic problems that could face their children, she replied
“I wouldn’t risk having a kid if I thought it would be harmful. I’ve done my research.”Incest has been around as long as humans have. Everybody just needs to deal with it as long as nobody is getting hurt or getting pressured or forced.” But asked if she would tell their children that their dad was both their father and grandfather, she was less sure.
“We’ve decided that most likely we won’t, she said. “I don’t want to give them any problems.”
What is this world turning to? Parents need to becareful of how they handle relationship. This aforementioned teen did that based on the fact that her mother was not staying with her father. Though, some fathers still harass or abuse their children sexually despite the fact that mother is living with the father.
My advice goes to parents especially mothers who may be reading this article to please spend quality time with your children!
We live in a society where work and the quest to earn more money has become the order of the day.
My prayer is that God will give us fruitful family in Jesus' name.
Former militant leader, Asari Dokubo says he and other Niger Delta militants will match the North violence for violence before, during and after the 2015 general election.
Asari who spoke on Tuesday on STV breakfast show in Nigeria said over the years the Northern part of the country have taken pride at unleashing mayhem and killing innocent souls after losing elections.
According to him, the insurgency in the North is not as a result of poverty but man induced.
He denied the allegation made by former Head of State Olusegun Obasanjo (whom he accused of sleeping with many women including his daughter inlaw) of not telling the truth when he accused him of being given licenses to import arms to the country.
Asari ended by saying that President Goodluck Jonathan is the best President Nigeria ever produced based on his performance so far despite the setbacks from those who didn't wish Nigeria well..
He accused the North of desperately seeking for power which was why they killed a duly elected Southern President , Moshood Abiola..

Message
The Bible classifies success into good success and negative or bad success. Of course, to the carnal mind, the idea of bad success is an irony. The Lord defined the type of success that emanates from Him in Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
In other words, if a so-called blessing is not from the Lord, certainly there will be some sorrow attached to it. This kind of success cannot be said to be good. Little wonder God Almighty prescribed what will bring good success to Joshua, as there are other type of success.
The blessing of the Lord makes you live long to enjoy the fruit of your labour (Psalm 91:6). The Lord who blesses is the same one who protects. If you are afraid of calamity after a breakthrough, maybe the source of that so-called breakthrough is not God. No man can temper with good success that emanates from God. Some people are afraid of success because of what people will say about them.
You can go ahead and continue to run from success if the success is not coming from God, because it cannot be good success. However, when your breakthrough or success is directly from God, no witch, wizard or herbalist can tamper with it.
In Genesis 26:12-14, we read about a classical example of good success record by Isaac. This man was so blessed that even the king of the Philistines envied him. The secret of this good success is found in the Genesis 26:2-6. Isaac obeyed the voice of God, stayed where God asked him to stay and he became prosperous with good success. Good success is not far from those who determine to obey God all the way.
In today’s Bible text, God revealed the secret of good success to Joshua which every child of God must pay attention to. God told Joshua that for Him to have good success, the book of the law should not just be in his mouth, he was to meditate therein constantly in order to observe to do according to its contents. This truth is reinforced in James 1:25:
“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”
If you want to obtain good success therefore, be a doer of the work in God’s Word

Therefore, with the approval and directive of Mr. President and by virtue of Section 6 clause 1 of the Nigerian Petroleum Act, it is my responsibility as Minister of Petroleum Resources to hereby announce a reduction in the pump price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (Petrol) from the current Ninety Seven Naira (=N=97) per litre pump price down to Eighty Seven Naira (=N87=) per litre pump price, effective from twelve (12) midnight Sunday, 18th of January 2015.
Accordingly, I have directed the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) and the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) to ensure strict compliance of this price adjustment by all marketing companies.

“Rather than address his administration’s failures, he chose to descend so low by using a very cheap bare faced (method) to get sympathy.
Ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo has accused the Jonathan administration of depleting Nigeria's oil savings which according to him was at $45billion when he left office and had depreciated over time to $30billion. He made the accusations while receiving some South-West women leaders at his residence in Abeokuta, earlier today.
In his words;
Our economy should not have been this bad. When I was leaving office about eight years ago, I left a very huge reserve after we had paid all our debts. Almost $25billion we kept in what they called excess crude. The excess from the budget we were saving as reserve for the rainy days. When we left in May 2007, the reserve was said to have been raised to $35billion. But today, that reserve has been depleted!
Today, that reserve has been depleted. The reserve we left when we finished paying all our debts, our debts that was about 40billion dollars, that is including debt forgiveness, the remaining debt was not more than $3billion. Our reserve after we had paid off this debt was about $45billion. As I said, they continued till the end of 2007, I heard that the reserve increased to almost $67billion before the end of the year. Our reserve now, learnt is left with around only $30billion. That is why the Naira has been falling against the dollar. What would now happen, I learnt if you want to buy a dollar now, it’s about N192 or N195. What it means is this, what you have been buying at N150 to a dollar, now you need N192 or N195 to buy it. That is the real situation. Is there any remedy? There is, but it does not come overnight because it means we have to give up all the bad things we have been doing. I know that God did not create Nigeria not to be rich or great. Is it that the people he created in Nigeria are not knowledgeable enough or not intelligent enough? Or is that they don’t know their rights? Our problems in Nigeria, let’s look at the foundation of our leadership. In the profession I know very well, the military, what we normally say is that there are no bad soldiers but bad officers. If you see a situation where the soldiers are not doing well, we need to examine the officers in charge. So it is in the family, the community, the town and the country,” he said.

I have no grudges against Jonathan and I think Jonathan equally has no grudges against me. I’m not quarrelling with Jonathan but all I know is that whatever is good for Nigeria, that I’m ready to die for. I emphasize that whatever is good for Nigeria, is what I’m ready to defend with my life. Whoever, I emphasize, whoever says he would not do anything good to Nigeria, even if he says he’s ready to go ‘konko below’, I’m ready to square it up with such a person. I say again, whoever that person may be, I want you to get that correctly. If this country is going to change for the better, it would start from the top and if it’s going to be otherwise, it would start from the top, too,” the former president stressed.

Its just a few weeks to the general elections and the political atmosphere is already becoming tensed. To some it might be funny and interesting while to others, it might be scary.

The APC so called ‘change agenda’ should be based on issues and not on change of dressing and religious gathering”.
“This election is not about political window-dressing and dramatizing. What will count is record of performance and antecedents, which President Jonathan stands taller than General Buhari.
“It is therefore not surprising that the APC and its Presidential candidate will resort to organizing a kangaroo opinion rating in a failed attempt to cover up their inadequacies and manipulate public perception in their favour.
This APC phantom poll has been designed in such a way to make the Nigerian public believe that 75 percent of the voting population is in support of General Buhari ahead the February 14 Presidential election.
Our findings reveal that the APC leaders are already intensifying effort to compromise some section of the media so as to ensure that the poll packaged by its foreign consultants is widely publicized.
Part of the strategy is a disguised mobile phone balloting application being circulated by the APC, whereby a curious click elicits a thank-you message from them and automatically register the unsuspecting phone user as having voted in support of General Buhari.
We are indeed shocked at the level the APC and its presidential candidate have sunk in their desperation for power. We hereby urge Nigerians, particularly the media to be wary of this plot to deceive the public and truncate our democratic process.
Our final advice to the APC is that they should focus on real campaign and stop playing to the gallery. Lies, no matter how much embellished can never take the place of truth and nothing built on falsehood stands. This election is not about fake figures and falsehood. It is about the choice of the citizens. Nigerians have since made up their minds to continue identifying with their performing President and no amount of propaganda and misrepresentation by the APC can change this.
Nigerian politics is becoming more interesting every passing day. Its really so surprising to know that political enemies such as Jimi Agbaje and Musiliu Obanikoro have suddenly become friends over a lunch table.

The prophecy that Nigeria will split won’t come to pass. You can see the signs, but it will never come to pass.
There will be shakings in 2015 and it will be so serious.
Both the big and small will feel it greatly. No matter how powerful or well organized 2015 election is, it will be faulted. I see a lot of litigations, disagreements and court cases because the mindset of many prior to the election is so dangerous.
I am not a politician nor belong to any political party, I am just speaking God’s mind. The person sitting on the seat might not be perfect, but he will retain the seat. It’s not guess work. Howbeit, it will be a battle between the lion and the tiger. President Jonathan will win, but he has to pray about his health and so many political blows. I pray the two people that enter the Aso Villa will leave together. That’s why we should pray for the woman beside the president. The president and wife should pray that the first lady would finish the tenure together and not losing one before the end of their tenure.
“Shortly after the election, especially on the night of the election, there will be great vandalisation. I see cars being burnt, lives killed. Counting from the night of the election, these evil will happen six days after the election. I see bitterness, disappointment fire and you might note these states, Bauchi, Yobe, Maiduguri, Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Rivers, but in the midst of these battles, the storm will calm down. We should pray and watch out for military intervention. God has instructed us to pray and fast from February 1 to February 3, 2014 against military intervention. I will leave the rest coded. When I said there will be disagreement, it will be so strong because it’s like some people are battle ready for war, but God will keep Nigeria.
In 2015, so many great men will fall, not only in Nigeria, but internationally too. So many politicians and powerful people will go down.
“I see a terrorist attack against a high rising building in Nigeria. We have to pray for our financial tower and INEC office. Let’s pray against bomb blast.
Two churches will be under serious attacks. One of them is an orthodox church while the second one is a Pentecostal. One of the two churches is stationed in a satellite town while the second one is in the heart of Abuja city. I also saw gun battles. I mean, men shooting sporadically. They were imported from another city. They were shooting anyhow. We should pray for the city of Gwagwalada and Suleja downward. God will help us. We should pray about this in the month of January and February. Also, many men of God indulging in voodoo or occultism, mixing white with black will experience God’s judgement in 2015. Great judgement in the sense that they will be exposed and lots of things will happen that will be the end of such ministries.
I saw a very popular man of God who is highly respected mourned. The reason is that his wife will be called to glory. It will be a great shock to him because he is highly respected. I am not permitted to mention his name. I see great politicians and ministers in one aircraft. Three prominent faces were among them, but the plane crashed. They should be careful of traveling in group, irrespective of where they are going. I see people pointing accusing fingers at different directions. I also see great fire outbreak in Lagos which would claim lots of lives. By January we have to pray and fast to avert this.
“Bola Ahmed Tinubu should pray that he might finish the political fire he started especially in Lagos to the end. The reason is that even the might of the mighty can be broken.
Specifically, Kogi State Governor should pray to survive 2015. I saw him struggling for breath.
A very popular musician, young artiste who sings secular songs should pray against death. He is like someone trying to sell his soul to the devil and it resulted to death. I am not permitted to mention his name. I see ASUU strike and it will be long and will shake the system, but restored later. I see Russian economy under attack by a strange hand. They have to pray so that a strong country like that won’t be brought low prowling for survival. Their economy will shrink. I see the president under attack. A lot of serious riots against his person. I also see great stars coming out of China and the country getting bigger and better. Their rise will be a great threat to big countries like USA. They will become centre of attraction, economically.
America should pray to be economically relevant in 2015.
“Nigeria should pray not to go to war with Chad. I see a former president of Nigeria giving up the ghost this year. And people trooping down to his home state for burial. His candle light has burned out already and nothing we can do to it. America will experience great terrorist attacks. The fire they are trying to put off in other countries should not burn them in their own house. I see a dark cloud dangling on American economy and this could render them useless. It will lead to great depression. They should prepare because it will be a tough period for them. They should also pray against mid west flood. They should also pray against three major floods that will occur in three states. American president should pray against ill health and there will be an attempt on his life.
I also see great army springing up sophisticated weapons. And that will be from the oil producing states. They will be more fierce and dangerous than Boko Haram. Don’t forget the issue of chemical weapons.
Rivers State Governor, Ameachi has to pray that his political career won’t end abruptly in 2015.
The darkness ahead of him is very great.
In India, I see a top politician dying mysteriously. It will be like an assassination. It will generate lots of controversies and several arguments as to the cause of death. Furthermore, I see an Indian aircraft with lots of passengers crashing with no survivor.
In Ghana, their economy will face serious crisis, but will bounce back. The president will be under severe attacks by the opposition so much that his efforts will be sabotaged.
Liberia will be declared Ebola free in 2015. Their president’s hand will be raised high and strong and God will cause him (her) to be favored. However, he (she) will have a health challenge because I see him (her) being rushed to about two countries. It will be so severe, but God will preserve him. Cameroon president will be under attack and the opposition will revolt. It will be so great that it might lead to restlessness, but he will triumph over it.”
Former Military Head of state, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida claimed to have built the Abuja and the third mainland bridge in Lagos. IBB made this declarations during an interview with EFCC's internal correspondence "Zero Tolerance"
"Let me tell you something, maybe you have a hand in it. I have been the most investigated President Nigeria has ever had. By now, somebody should have come forward to say here it is. Every government that came after me investigated me because
of that perception as they wanted to retrieve the billions I stole. Well, we had different approaches. I think my government was able to identify corruption-prone areas and checked them. If you remember in this country, there were things they call essential commodities. These are also sources of corruption. You go and buy Omo or food or whatever it is and we got government to take its hands off such activities. Let people use their own brains, hands and labour, nobody has to do it for them. So we did but I am proud to say that was much more effective. I don’t have the facts but if what I read in the newspapers is currently what is happening then I think we were angels” he said
IBB says the perception that his government institutionalized corruption is incorrect, arguing that with the little his administration was making from oil they could do what they did but with the much the present administration is making from oil, much is still left to be desired
"Yeah, I know. Maybe I have to accept that but anybody with a sense of fairness has no option but to call us saints. I give you an example, in a year I was making less than $7billion in oil revenue. In the same period, there are governments that are making $200billion to $300billion. With $7billion, I did the little I could achieve. With $200billion, there is still a lot to be achieved.”he said
On the $12.4billion oil windfall from the 1991 Gulf War which many believed was stolen by his government, Babangida insisted the money was not stolen.
“First of all, that war lasted three months, about ninety something days. It didn’t last up to a year. So get the facts straight. Secondly, the oil price at that time was below $18 per barrel. So, there is no way you could make $12.4billion in three months. We could not have made that amount of money but Pius Okigbo knew what he was doing. He had brains and he said between 1986 or 1988 to 1994, monies accrued to the Federal Government at that time was about that money you are calling windfall. He said so. It is there in his book. Then the other thing he said, the monies could have gone into generative investment. I am not an economist but I have an understanding of what this is. Our argument then was if you have the money, why keep it and be looking at it when you have a lot of things that will benefit the ordinary man. So that money was not stolen. It is what you see now in the country. Thank God most of the infrastructure we put in place are what you are using today and proudly so.”
Gen Babangida says the gains from the oil boom was used in the development of infrastructures such as the FCT Abuja and the third mainland bridge in Lagos amongst others
“Abuja for example, I built Abuja. Today, we have a brand new capital. We used that money. I gave you a Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. You cannot build it now for all the money Nigeria is making. And what did it cost me? N500million, N600million, N700million. For the first time, a dual carriage way was seen in the Northern part of the country between Kaduna and Kano and then linked it up from Abuja. You cannot afford to do it now; you cannot even afford to touch it because there are a lot of competing needs.”he said
IBB who announced the annulment of the June 12 election in which business mogul Late Chief Moshood Abiola was adjudged the winner, accepted that the election was a credible election
"Yes, it (June 12) is a day in the history of Nigeria and the day the most credible election was held. We gave you a lot of reasons but I understood the passion. At that time, everybody was fed up. The sentiment was: just pack your things and go. Our thought process is very limited. First of all, on June 23, 1993, I was on the air and I told Nigerians why we had to do what we did but I was sensible enough to know that whatever I said nobody was interested. So, the important thing is get out.”he said
Speaking about his investments, Babangida said he is a major shareholder in a bank but failed to mention the name of the bank or the value of his shares in the bank.
On how he built his Hilltop Mansion in Minna, Babangida said:
“I cannot estimate because it has appreciated. I know what my friends spent. No, my friends contributed. They were friends before we came into government and friends while I was in government. I started building it in 1991, took two to three years so that by the time I finished, I would have a house to sleep in.”

The group, January 9 Collective (J9C) has announced that Professor Anthony Kila, Professor of Political Anthropology and International Director of Studies at the European Centre of Advanced and Professional Studies (ECAPS) in Cambridge will be the key note Speaker at the third edition of its annual anniversary lecture series scheduled for Agip Recital Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, on Friday, January 9, 2015.
In a release signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Michael Effiong, the group stated that this year’s event will deliberate on the theme, 2015 Polls: Beyond the Rhetorics of Credible Elections. And is expected to feature Alaafin of Oyo, HRH Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III as Royal Father of The Day and former Cross River State Governor, Mr. Donald Duke as Special Guest of Honour.
The Lagos State Gubernatorial Candidates for APC and PDP, Messrs Akinwunmi Ambode and Jimi Agbaje, Ovation Publisher, Bashorun Dele Momodu as well as representatives of both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and The Nigeria Police Force are expected as Panelists.
Elaborating on the reason for this year's theme, the group's Captain, Mr. Seun Soyinka stated that with Nigeria at the verge of a general election, it was important for stakeholders to discuss the ingredients of a free and fair election especially because it is at the very foundation of good governance and Nigeria's quest for rapid development.

We met in Lagos. I just relocated from London and he just returned from Chicago. We got talking because he wanted me to present a television show. I did not get the job but I did get the dude. It was work-related but we found out we connected. We were friends for a while before we started dating. Then, I was not out for a date.
I liked him for his confidence and he gave me my space too. He was a real gentleman and
well-spoken. When it was time for the engagement, I knew it would happen, but I did not know when. I knew what it was like to make a mistake because my parents were not together and I needed to be sure. I was career driven but not driven about marriage.
On the proposal
“The proposal was really nice. He got down on his knees and proposed and people were emotional. Shortly after that, we got married. We had Ayomide, our first daughter, who is now three, and Dasola, who is 10 months old now.”
On the rumours
They peddled all sorts of stories-His parents did not like me and that I quit acting. But it’s not possible that I would be married if my father-in-law did not like me. I was not even 40 years old yet and people started calling me an ex-actress. It was hard for me! But I decided to live my life and I stopped paying attention to maintain my sanity. How could anyone think I would quit my job because I got married? They said this because I married into a wealthy family, but I still have my purpose and goals that I want to achieve.”
On Challenges
“Celebrity marriages are not different. The only reason is that people are looking at you. The challenges are the same but are amplified in celebrity marriages. That puts a lot of pressure on the union. The first thing is to marry your friend. You have to marry for the right reason. I married for love; someone I am totally in awe of and respect. It is difficult, but when you have God, there is a balance that comes with it. It is fun and challenging. It is easy to get frustrated but people need to remember their vows.”
On cutting her dreadlocks
“I made up my mind that I wanted to wear dreadlocks, and when I was tired of it, I decided to cut it. My husband did not want me to cut my hair; he wanted our children to meet me with the hair. I dance to the beat of my own drum and my path is different from every other person’s. I have my own mind; if I let people shape my opinions of myself, I will not be authentic to myself.”

After surviving a kidney transplant, OJB launched a Kidney Trust Fund, in collaboration with The Bow Tie Club, a non-profit making organization. It is being set up to address the issue of funding of kidney disease treatment.Speaking at the launch, OJB recounted his horrible experience.
What was going through my mind was basically what was going through the minds of over 30
millions people that have kidney related problems. Honestly, when you are younger, you don’t think about death.
But for some reasons, I had to think and consider death. I considered the possibilities that it could happen. And of course, when I start considering the possibilities of dying, everything starts flashing back to me; did I do enough, what didn’t I do right, should I die now, what is going to happen to my family and business.
As a result, you start to think about all these things, and the pressure of the thought begin to increase upon you, as the days go by. The psychological trauma is bigger than what you can imagine.
On not giving up
“ I had over 14 million people who were interested in my predicament. So, why should I give up hope of surviving. That was the lucky situation I found myself then.
On the operation in India
It was horrible “but I had confidence that I would make it.”
On finally setting up an NGO
I had already started working towards setting up the foundation, before I fell sick. My sickness was more of an awakening call for me to set up a foundation. I feel that setting up a foundation is something I was meant to do. I also feel that what I went through was for a purpose. I think people that have kidney related problem need a voice, and that was why God allowed me to go through the trauma,”

A woman in Ughelli South local government area of Delta (name withheld) on Friday evening confessed to have been using her urine to mix the beans with which she prepared moi-moi which she sold to members of the public as well as fed family members with.
According to Leadership ng, Reports said the woman, well-known in the community for her beauty and well-prepared meals especially her moi-moi (beancake) that she sold to unsuspecting members of the public, allegedly confessed when she was almost lynched by angry mobs over allegation by a young man in the area that she planned to kill him with her witchcraft.
It was gathered that the young man was about taking his bath in the bathroom when a rat almost hit him on the leg. On seeing the rat, he picked a piece of wood and hill it, but instead of beating a retreat, the rat allegedly increased in size, eventually turning into a human being before disappearing, leaving two slippers behind.
The young man was said to have went to town with the tale, and on getting to the house of the alleged witch, popularly called MamaT, he was said to have seen the woman surrounded by a angry crowd who descended on her.
Eyewitness said some parts of the woman’s body were swollen, as she was made to put on a pair of slippers, and realizing the slippers were similar to those left behind by the rat, the young man screamed, “Madam, why are you putting on the same slippers, and why is your body swollen?” And she replied, “I had an accident yesterday where I sustained some injuries and lost one of my slippers.”
Suspecting the woman was the rat that turned to a human being in his bathroom, the young man narrated his story to the crowd, while appealing to them to allow him get the slippers that the rat left behind in his house.
By the time he returned and showed the people the single pair of slippers, it was exactly the same with the one on the woman’s foot.
This left the angry mob with no option than to beat her to stupor, before she confessed to litany of atrocities she had committed, while confessing that all through the years, she had been selling moi-moi she used her urine from her coven to prepare.
