LET ME INTRODUCE TO YOU "THE NEXT EFCC CHAIRMAN: BUHARI IS CHILD'S PLAY COMPARED TO THIS MAN

Ok I promised to do this from the previous post .  Here is all you need to know about the incoming EFCC Chairman.
Colonel Hamid Ibrahim Alli is a brave Bauchi Prince. He was a military governor of Kaduna state and a diehard IBB boy who is reputed to have made the statement "I can follow IBB to war blindfolded" to show how much he believed in IBB as a general.
But that didn't stop him from looking IBB in the face and telling him he was wrong on the case of the annulment of June 12 1993 elections.
He lost his commission because he refused to support the annulment of the June 12 election and Abacha's takeover of government instead of handing over to MKO. Despite his famous dislike for MKO, whom he saw as an arrogant man, he insisted justice and fairplay must be done. He demanded MKO be sworn in even if he was a devil.

Rumour has it that he would have been killed if not because he was a blue blood. He left the Army and government unceremoniously, a simple man without money or scandal. According to reports, he is into poultry farming and still drives a 504 Peugeot. Colonel Hamid Ibrahim Ali is currently undergoing SSS screening in preparation for his appointment.

Immediately there were feelers that he will emerge the next EFCC Chairman, corrupt politicians have been on panic mode. Some have started refunding stolen funds.  Yipppee !!!! You got this here first

Tarahtalks-  ( Lol you go soon hear say some past pffice holders from the outgoing administration will be declared missing they will kidnap themselves lol.. But I know  the wand of Justice will fetch them )

He was a military Governor of Kaduna State and a diehard IBB boy who is reputed to have made the statement "I can follow IBB to war blindfolded" to show how much he believed in IBB as a general. But that didn't stop him from looking IBB in the face and telling him he was wrong on the case of the annulment of June 12 1993 elections

#2015 ELECTION: "Dem Say" 9 Years School Pupil Donates Her School Fees To Buhari | See Picture

L..

A 9-year-old pupil of Greensprings School, Lekki campus, Nicole Benson, has officially donated her pocket money to the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari campaign team.

Benson announced the donation of N5785 (which her mother increased to N10,000 to make it a round figure) during the Town Hall meeting with Nigerian women groups on Thursday at Harbour Point, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.

She also read the letter she wrote pledging the donation a month ago to APC Presidential campaign team, to the admiration of the audience.

The money was received by the Director-General of the Fund Raising Committee and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, who thanked the young child with a handshake to the applause of the audience.

Her letter read:

Dear APC and Governor Fashola,

My name is Nicole Benson. I am 9 years old. The name of my school is Greensprings School Lekki campus and I am in year 4. I want to be a doctor when I grow up so that I can take care of people who are sick and dying because they take care of me when I am sick.

Governor Fashola and APC, I was listening to the radio on my way to school today and I heard that we can send money to you to help you to win the election. My mummy said that I can donate from N100 so that we can help APC to raise the money to win the election and remove President Goodluck Jonathan so that Mr Buhari and Professor Osinbajo can be the new president and assistant president and be able to help Nigeria to fight the Boko Haram people who are killing innocent children and also bring back the Chibok girls so that their mummies and daddies can be happy.

Governor Fashola and APC, please don’t you think that N100 is too small. I have the new N100 notes but I am sorry I will not be able to give it to you because I only have one and I want to keep it in my wallet. But I have N5785 that I saved from my lunch money and pocket money and toothfairy money. I know it’s my mummy giving the toothfairy the money to give me because I found my tooth in her wallet last year and I want to give you all my money that I saved so that you can win in February. I have N5785 and also N8 but the N8 is in coins and it’s only in Shoprite that they gave me so I want to go and spend it there. I wanted to buy my inhaler disk but my daddy has bought another new one for me. I have given my mummy the money and she put it on her card to pay it on your website and she paid it now. I wish I could get more money for you but that will be next week when I get more lunch money from my daddy and toothfairy can’t give me any more money because all my teeth have all grown back. I can still save more money for you and give you in February.

Please help me give some of the money to Mr Ambode too so that he can win Mr Jimmy Agbaje. I like Mr Ambode very much.

I wish you goodluck not Goodluck Jonathan but best of luck and please you can call my mummy’s number if you need me to send the money I want to save for you. But you will have to give me some time to save it.

Please say hello to Mr Ambode Mr Buhari and Professor Osinbajo for me.

Nicole Eniiyi Benson

According to Enitan Benson, Nicole’s mummy, “she insisted on typing the above mail herself so I have decided not to make any corrections.

“I agreed with her to help round her contribution to N10,000. I tried sending the money on the http://www.apcgmbpyo.org/ site but keep getting an error message. I’ll try again later and if it still doesn’t go through, I’ll go to the bank tomorrow (today).

“Please, if there’s an alternative payment method I would like to know as she keeps checking every other minute to see if her donation has been sent.

“My family and I are proud APC members! ‪#‎change. Thank you

Lagos Guber,. Candidate, Jimi Agbaje in Adultery Mess …Impregnates Nollywood Actress Folake Shadare

- She was never pregnant for me – Agbaje

Unconfirmed gist reaching Tarahtalks.blogspot.com has it that, the Lagos guber candidate under People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje aka JK is allegedly in secret romance with youthful Yoruba actress, Folake Shadare Atie.

"Wind" got  it that, unknown to most people Jimi Agbaje was once the centre of a sizzling romance with the actress, which resulted in a pregnancy mess.

“A couple of years back, Folake and Jimi became intimately close and in a matter of months, news filtered out that the actress was three months pregnant and the father to be was J.K. Some of Folake’s friends advised her to keep the baby, but J.K would hear nothing of sort.

Folake Shadare Atie who joined the league of actresses who are proud owners of a classic boutique couple of years back located in busy Egbeda-Akwojowo road known as Flaky World is not ashamed of her sizzling romance with the guber candidate.

It was alleged that after much pressure, J.K paid Folake N1.2M to take care of herself but nobody knows what later happened to the pregnancy.Weeks after, Folake bought herself a Toyota Jeep, Rav 4. That was more than enough consolation for her part in the relationship I guess. #lol

However, another source revealed that, when it became obvious that Jimi Agbaje would fly the flag of the PDP in Lagos State, Folake became very excited and became the rallying point for the politician within the Yoruba movie world.

“She is the brain behind the ‘Artistes For Jimi Agbaje,’ campaign, she rallied some of her friends for support, though the support was marginal because of the allegiance of most of the cultivated Yoruba movie stars to the APC and its candidate, Mr. Akinwunim Ambode,” said the source.

The Jimi Agbaje’s camp is however denying this romance story, which they believe originated from the APC to not only destroy Jimi Agbaje’s peaceful home, but his chances of been elected in the coming elections.

Court Sacks PDP Candidate Imam, Reinstates Gambo Lawan

Gambo Lawan

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday ordered the removal of the Peoples Democractic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Borno State, Alhaji Mohammed Imam on the grounds that he was not validly elected at the party's primary election held in December 2014 in Abuja.

In his place, the presiding judge, Ahmed Mohammed ordered the reinstatement of Alhaji Gambo Lawan as the validly elected candidate of the PDP, directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to immediately recognize Lawan as the legitimate candidate of the party in Borno State ahead of the April 11 rescheduled elections.

Lawan had filed a case at the conventional court challenging his substitution by the PDP after he won the primary election on December 11 that was affirmed by delegates in the presence of major stakeholders of the PDP.  They included ‎Vice-President Namadi Sambo; Senate President David Mark; PDP National Chairman, Adamu Muazu; ‎Chairman PDP Board of Trustees, Tony Anenih; the Borno State PDP Chairman; the Minister of State for Power, Muhammed Wakil, who is the leader of the PDP in Borno State;  BOT members and other stakeholders from Borno State.

Lawan argued that the INEC presented him with a certificate of return as candidate but that on December 24 while the name was being submitted to the INEC by the PDP National headquarters in Abuja, it was was wrongly removed and replaced with that of Alhaji Imam.

Lawan, who is a former Chairman of the Grassroots Democratic  Movement (GDM) as well as ex-Chairman of Maiduguri Metropolitan Council, had picked the party’s governorship ticket at a process in Abuja personally supervised by President Goodluck Jonathan following his intervention to resolve the lingering disagreement over the PDP governorship ticket in the state.  The problem arose from having numerous aspirants from the old PDP members and some from former Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, who had defected to the PDP from the APC and wanted to have a substantial stake.

However, after a meeting with President Jonathan at that time, the party adopted Lawan as its candidate after which delegates were conveyed to Abuja for a primary election that saw them ratifying Lawan's choice before INEC officials. The commission then presented him with his certificate of return.

On the eve of the submission of parties’ governorship flagbearers to the INEC, the PDP National Chairman, Muazu, substituted Lawan’s name with that of Imam, a nominee of Senator Sheriff. It was learnt that Muazu acted on the orders of President Jonathan, who wanted to please Ali Modu Sheriff, although it was illegal.

Pioneer members of the PDP vehemently stood against the decision, defying all efforts by the President to have them support Sheriff's choice, Alhaji Imam.

The PDP members insisted that Sheriff had taken too much, given that they had conceded two out of three Senatorial candidate seats to his supporters; 6 out of 10 House of Representatives seats; 19 out of 28 Assembly seats.  He had also been given the slot for the deputy Governorship besides an agreement reached to split State, local governments and ward executives ‎of the party in a 60-40 ratio, with Sheriff to take 40 percent.

No More Polls Shift - INEC Assure Nigerians!

The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega has assured Nigerians that there will not be any further postponement of the rescheduled general election.

Jega gave the assurance on Wednesday, at an interactive session with the Civil Society Situation Room, a coalition of over 60 civil society organisations, in Abuja.

The INEC Chairman stated that the Commission was fully prepared for the exercise while he disclosed that 11 states have, so far, achieved over 90 per cent Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) collection, because INEC maximised the six-week extension of the polls. “We are now, adequately, prepared for the elections, which have been rescheduled to March 28 and April 11.

And I want to say that I’ve not seen any indication from anywhere that there is a desire for another postponement of this election.

So, we are all focused on March 28 and April 11. “Soon after we announced the rescheduling of the elections, the Commission met and decided on how best to utilize this period of extension for six weeks.

I Am The President In Waiting - NCP Flag Bearer

Chief Martin Onovo

The Presidential Candidate of the NCP, Chief Martin Onovo, says he is “the President in waiting if the 2015 presidential election is free, fair and credible.” Onovo made the assertion in Lagos on Thursday while speaking with a correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN). “We are the oldest party in Nigeria and we are the party of the Nigerian people.

There is no party that can defeat NCP in a free and fair election. If you compare us with other parties in Nigeria, NCP cannot be defeated, if the election is contested according to the law and votes counted, I am the president in waiting. There is no question about it that I am the president in waiting,’’ the youthful presidential hopeful said. According to him, the general elections present the country a golden opportunity to make the right decisions. “There is no doubt that the quality of leadership we get determines how well we manage our challenges,” he stated.

Onovo urged political stakeholders to comply with the nation’s electoral laws to foster the development of democracy. He also spoke on the increasing level of violence in the build up to the March 28 and April 11 elections. On the Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) and card readers, the presidential candidate said that the PVCs and card readers would increase the integrity of the elections. “After the field test of PVCs and card readers conducted by INEC and the promises made by INEC to address all the issue raised, we feel more confident about the PVCs and card readers.

We want the PVCs to be used but we don’t want them to fail because if they fail it is as good as not using them. So we call on INEC to make sure that the card readers don’t fail. We are sure that what we have currently is not democracy, so the PVCs, if properly and effectively used, will lead us to democracy.” Onovo said that rigging an election was worse than military coup, arguing that the card reader would eliminate electoral fraud. On the deployment of soldiers for elections,

Onovo said that the court judgment against the use of the military should be appealed by INEC. “The military has always supported internal security operations during elections. I find the court judgment queer. But because we believe in the rule of law, that judgement must be respected, what INEC needs to do is to go to the superior court and vacate that judgment. “If we are going to have resemblance of an election, we need very robust security so military back up should be there. I have no objection to military presence during the polls.

So that court judgment should be vacated. INEC needs to appeal that judgment if they have not done so,” he said. According to him, the NCP will abolish poverty in the country by providing employment and social services to reduce the cost of living. Onovo said that the party had offered to increase the minimum wage by reducing the maximum wage.

He said that the party would not align with any other party but must stand by its fundamental values of truth, integrity, justice and national development. The presidential hopeful urged the media to be fair, objective and faithful to its constitutional mandate. Onovo also advised voters to ensure that they voted to enable those they voted into office to secure better future for everyone.

We Made Jega Shift Election Because It Was Clear Buhari Would Win On February 14th - Fasheun

Leader of Oodua People's Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun has exposed himself as one of those behind the plot to shift the 2015 presidential poll date from February 14 to March 28th, claiming that had the election held on February 14th "rigging had been perfected for General Muhammadu Buhari".

According to the source, Nigeria's Federal Government and ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) had offered the excuse that the Nigerian troops were to carry out a special operations against insurgents in the Northeast apparently to buy some time for the PDP to work out a winning formula for President Goodluck Jonathan to win the election at all cost.

Speaking during a Post National Conference gathering sponsored by Ondo State Gov. Olusegun Mimiko, Dr. Fasheun bragged that when it became clear that President Jonathan was going to lose the election he called a few influential people and urged them to shift the election date, he said that fortunately they listened to him and the election date was shifted. The revelation by Dr. Fasheun shows that President Jonathan had used the Boko Haram fight as an alibi to further his political ambition.

Don't Be Afraid Of Jail: Buhari's Wife To Dame Jonathan

Mrs Buhari (left) & Dame Jonathan (right)

Remember when First Lady Patience Jonathan, while campaigning, told the crowd that voting for APC means voting to go to prison as the APC presidential candidate was planning to jail political opponent if he wins the election and she can't be visiting her husband in prison?
Well, Buhari's wife subtly clapped back at the First Lady during a women's rally in Edo State today.

According to Vanguard, Mrs Buhari addressed this, saying people shouldn't be afraid, that they were only interested in change. She also addressed the notion that her husband is a religious fanatic.

Each zone of the country has its peculiar problem. For me in this zone, girl-child trafficking should be considered one of our problems, though I know there is unemployment. Unemployment is the major factor that contributes to brain drain and also the girl-child trafficking. General Muhammadu Buhari is a leader who led Nigeria some decades ago and he is coming back now to sanitise the system.. For those that are campaigning, saying that he is coming to jail Nigerians, I don’t know what their fear is. But they shouldn’t be afraid, because we are all yearning for change.

The insecurity in the country, the very poor healthcare system, lack of education and other basic necessities that people are lacking I believe Nigerians need somebody like General Muhammadu Buhari now. Already, they have painted him black, using religion. I’m happy today that Nigerians realize that they use religion as a cover to loot Nigeria.

Any politician who talks to you about religion is a liar, he only wants to loot the treasury and the little resources you ought to enjoy. So say no politics merging it with religion to deceive the people. I’m here today to let Edo women know that when my husband is elected into office as President, all these will be history.

The insecurity, the girl-child trafficking, suffering of the widows in the South East will come to an end. There must be a cultural design that can accommodate the widow. A design that would make the girl-child comfortable wherever she is in this country. She doesn’t have to leave her country to go and prostitute elsewhere, it’s not her portion. Her portion is to have a highly standard and moral society for her to live in.

Get married, have children, train them and also mould them to become the future leaders. We are here today to also let you know that the collection of your PVCs is important and don’t ever sell it. It’s like selling your future. If you sell it for N5,000, you won’t see N5,000 again until after four years which will be bad. Get your PVC, vote for APC, vote for freedom, vote for a new Nigeria with good security, good education, good healthcare, good roads and all the basic necessities.”

UNIPORT Refuses To Release Jonathan’s Doctorate Details

The University of Port Harcourt has declined a Freedom of Information, FOI, request for the doctorate degree records of President Goodluck Jonathan.

In a response to the Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, a Rivers State-based civil society organization, the university said a request for President Jonathan’s academic records did not fall within the provisions of the FOI law according to  Premium Times

“The Management of the University has carefully considered your request vis-a-vis the FOI Act,” the university stated in their letter dated 26th February, 2015, and signed by Eric Loveday Osuo Abonemi, the institution’s Legal Officer.

“It is my instructions to inform you that your request does not come within the relevant provisions of the FOI Act for its practicability or for the University to provide such details as requested.

“Details of the Ph.D Degree of President Goodluck Jonathan in the University of Port Harcourt cannot therefore be made available to you.”

The Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law had filed an FOI request, three weeks ago, to the university seeking relevant details of Mr. Jonathan’s doctorate qualifications.

The letter requested the following information relating to the president’s doctorate qualification, citing the provisions of Sections 2 and 4 of the FOI Act, 2011:

1. The title of the president’s doctorate dissertation

2. Year of registration as a doctorate candidate

3. Name of his doctorate supervisor(s)

4. Name of his external examiner(s)

5. Comments/reports of the external examiner of the dissertation/thesis

6. Photocopy of the dissertation/thesis

7. Date of graduation from the university

The organization said it was willing to bear any cost the university might incur in making photocopies of the requested documents and for posting them.

President Jonathan was admitted into the Department of Zoology (now renamed Animal and Environmental Biology), University of Port Harcourt, in 1977, where he graduated with Second Class Honours (Upper Division).

In 1985, Mr. Jonathan obtained a Master of Science degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Zoology 10 years later.

Both degrees were also from the University of Port Harcourt.

Lately, Mr. Jonathan’s academic qualifications have come under increased scrutiny ahead of the forthcoming general elections. Critics have accused the president of failing to complete his doctorate programme.

In a response to an enquiry by Punch Newspaper in January, the university dismissed such claims as having “neither legs nor grounds to stand on”.

The university had also told any person or organization seeking additional information on Mr. Jonathan’s qualifications to contact the school authorities.

“We have absolutely nothing to hide as an institution that has a statutory mandate to advance the frontiers of knowledge,” William Wodi, the university’s Deputy Registrar (Information), had told the newspaper.

It is unclear why the university declined to release Mr. Jonathan’s academic qualifications to the civil society organization after giving that commitment.

Jiti Ogunye, a Lagos-based lawyer, said the president’s academic records ought to be freely available in the university and not be “opaque or hidden”.

“The FOI is applicable to the academic records of a public officer whose academic records are being requested by a Nigerian citizen or a nongovernmental organization duly registered in Nigeria with a view to promoting accountability and transparency in government,” Mr. Ogunye said.

“The academic records of the president are not the medical records of the president in which case a medical officer can say the FOI is exempted, or the records between a lawyer and his client which are covered by the confidentiality rule.”

WHAT THE FOI ACT SAYS

According to Section 14(1) of the FOI ACT, subject to subsection (2), a public institution must deny an application for information that contains personal information and information exempted under this subsection includes:

(a) files and personal information maintained with respect to clients, patients, residents, students, or other individuals receiving social, medical, educational, vocation, financial, supervisory or custodial care or services directly or indirectly from public institutions;…

(2) A public institution shall disclose any information that contains personal information if –

(a) the individual to whom it relates consents to the disclosure; or

(b) the information is publicly available

(3) Where disclosure of any information referred to in this section would be in the public interest, and if the public interest in the disclosure of such information clearly outweighs the protection of the privacy of the individual to whom such information relates, the public institution to whom request for disclosure is made shall disclose such information subject to Section 14(2) of this Act.

Mr. Ogunye said that an institution might attempt to hide under Section 14(1)(a) to decline disclosure of information.

“My argument is, this information is publicly available and ought to be disclosed. The president has said he obtained his Ph.D in that institution, so it’s publicly available,” Mr. Ogunye said.

“So why will an institution refuse to disclose an information that is publicly available? The university has acted wrongly and can be compelled by the suit of the non-governmental organization concerned to disclose the information.”

OBASANJO SHOULD GUARD HIS UTTERANCE FOR THE SAKE OF THIS NATION" - PRESIDENT JONATHAN

President Jonathan has said Obasanjo is still is father despite his criticisms towards him. Speaking to Tribune editors he said

First and foremost, Obasanjo is a father to me. By divine providence and the grace of God, I am the President of Nigeria today. It is not by my strength. But God uses human beings to actualise His own blessings on human beings. And He used so many Nigerians, including former President Obasanjo, to play one role or the other for me.

“I became the deputy governor of a state, became the governor, the vice president and president. I have no issues with him, and I really don’t want to join issues with President Obasanjo. I think it is not necessary.”
“But I will use this opportunity, because you asked, to just plead with my father that he is a leader, a former president of the country. He has led the country more than anybody — eight years of democratic governance and almost four years of military governance. No other person has that kind of record.

“So, actions and inactions, or utterances, should be guarded so that we don’t expose our country to the international community as if it is a country in danger, a country that is about to collapse. You are frightening investors, especially those who invest hot cash, to pull out their money from the country and that would affect the stock market and it would affect the economy.
“For one reason or the other, Obasanjo may disagree with me as his first political son. You can even disagree with your own biological children, as a human being, not to talk of disagreeing with your political children. So, he can agree or disagree with me, but the utterances have to be managed in a way that it does not affect the economy and security of this country.”

Revealed: How Jega, Buhari, Babangida, Jonathan and Fashola Contributed in Council of State Meeting on Reschedule Of Election-What They Actually Said :

HOW IMO GOV.OKOROCHA LIED TO NIGERIANS

Before the Council of State meeting, the position of the president, and that of the ruling party, PDP, was that the elections should be postponed. The argument was that by virtue of Section 132 (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, there was time to make adjustment. The Section provides that “an election to the said office (presidency) shall be held on a date not earlier than one hundred and fifty days and not later than thirty days before the expiration of the term of the last holder of that office.” That was the subtext to the Council of State meeting.
At the meeting, Jega presented his report, giving a breakdown of the number of registered voters in each state and the number that have collected their PVC's and reiterating that he was ready for the polls. The first person to speak after his presentation was the NSA, Dasuki, who harped on the renewed efforts by the Multinational Forces to dislodge the Boko Haram insurgents and the need to shift the elections forward. The service chiefs and the Director General of the Directorate of State Security (DSS) followed with similar presentations.

With the floor now open for discussion, Buhari was the first to fire a salvo against the idea to have the elections rescheduled. He said all the reasons adduced by the military do not warrant postponing the elections, especially when, according to him, soldiers have minimal role to play in the election process. With Buhari done, the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, presented what appeared a detailed position of the APC as to why the elections had to go ahead.

He looked at the possible implications of such a postponement from both the legal and political prisms, with the conclusion that it would not bode well for the country and the president. However, the Cross River State Governor, Mr Liyel Imoke countered Fashola’s arguments with what also appeared the PDP position as he went beyond the issue of Boko Haram to that of the preparedness of INEC.

Some of the issues he raised included the “lopsidedness” in the distribution of PVCs nationwide, the fact that the Card Readers to be used by INEC had yet to be tested and that the electoral officials to use them have not even been trained. At that point, according to sources, Jega sought to respond and was given the floor. He explained that most of the misgivings being expressed have been factored into INEC plans. He, however, added that it was unrealistic to expect a hundred percent turn-out of voters at elections as there is no such thing anywhere in the world.

To this, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Godswill Akpabio reportedly countered that Jega was wrong. Akpabio said there is a difference between people who may choose not to vote even if they have PVCs and those who cannot vote because they have been denied what ordinarily should be their rights. He said elections cannot be credible in situations where millions of people could not get what would enable them to exercise their franchise. In asking INEC to go ahead with the polls since the commission said it was ready, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, added that the advisory role of the Council of State does not extend to election matters. To that, the president, who had evidently been well-briefed, drew the attention of Tambuwal and that of the meeting to the Third Schedule (Part 1) of the 1999 Constitution, especially Section B (6) which states that the Council of State “shall have the power to (A) advise the President in exercise of his powers with respect to the…(4) the Independent National Electoral Commission (including appointment of members of the commission).”

In his own intervention, General Ibrahim Babangida argued that since INEC said it was ready for the polls, the real issue before the Council was on what to do about the four states where the security agencies said they needed more time to deal with the insurgency. Babangida now asked whether it was feasible to conduct elections only in 32 states.

The president interjected quickly that such election would end in fiasco. I have it on good authority that some people in the administration had suggested this idea to Jega in November last year and he said any such election that excise a section of the country would not pass the test of credibility or even for that matter, legitimacy. So the president knew that succumbing to such an idea would be politically suicidal for him and he rejected it outright.

However, from the way the meeting went, it was evident that positions had been taken along party lines. At the end, the responsibility as to what to decide was pushed to INEC but the real drama was announcing the “decision” arrived at because for all practical purposes, nothing was decided as to whether or not the elections should go ahead or be postponed.

With Governors Olusegun Mimiko, Rochas Okorocha and Bala Ngilari asked to brief the media by the president, the three rushed to the press room to grab the centre chair. Mimiko got there first and said no decision was taken and that INEC would consult and announce whether to postpone the elections or not which was the most accurate position as to what transpired. However, immediately Mimiko stood up and they all appeared to be leaving, Okorocha grabbed the chair that the Ondo State Governor had been sitting on and also started to brief the State House correspondents.

He said the Council had decided that the elections should go ahead. While that was not a true reflection of what happened, that was the slant reported in the media, which to be honest is a reflection of the mood of the public.

APC PLANS TO RIG LAGOS GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION-PDP

Press Release -

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been charged with grand plans to rig the 2015 polls in Lagos State.

Making this accusation in Lagos, the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate for Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, said it had unearthed plans to use the ad hoc staff, including teachers and civil staff, employed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to swing the polls in its favour.

In a Press Statement released today, the Director of Media and Publicity to Mr. Jimi Agbaje, FELIX OBOAGWINA,

cited as proof the sack of two ad hoc staffers by INEC, on the excuse that they were preventing non-indigenes from collecting their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs)

It accused the APC government of getting the Executive Secretaries to compel teachers and civil servants in the local government to attend meetings in which party candidates and leaders directly campaigned.

The statement said such actions traduced the civil servants’ right to freedom of thought, conscience and Right to freedom from discrimination as enshrined in Chapter IV of the Nigerian Constitution.

“What the Lagos State Government is getting the Executive Secretaries to do is contemptible and is a blatant abuse of office,” he said.

The statement demanded that INEC should go beyond the dismissal of the registration officials, and prosecute them for colluding in the APC’s plan to disenfranchise non-indigenes and other voters opposed to the continuation of the current order.

INEC had exposed the dismissal in a press statement circulated among the media on Tuesday.

“Although INEC has washed its hands off the illicit conduct of the sacked ad hoc officials, we insist that the Commission must go beyond merely relieving those concerned of their jobs and must, in fact, make them face the law. They must be used as scapegoats to expose and discourage the shenanigans of APC,” Oboagwina said.

According to the statement, it was clear that the sacked ad hoc INEC officials were on the pay of Lagos APC, which realised that it could lose the vote of non-indigenes and had embarked on systematically disenfranchising them through getting unscrupulous officials to deprive them of PVCs.

It also charged APC with colluding with INEC officials to take PVCs from house to house for people they think were favourably disposed to voting for the ruling party in Lagos.

“How did well-known APC members illegally secure the PVCs of people that they took to their owners at home? That is a case for INEC in Lagos to answer,” Oboagwina said. “It is part of the grand scheme by APC to rig the coming elections.”

Gov Fayose Eventually Responds :says Audio tape of plan to Rig Election is Fake and APC' Tantrum

!

On this one ,Tarah should be called a witch because I was so expecting same statement as response to the audio leak spreading like wildfire. Just as i dropped my last post about the audio, I started getting responses on bbm and texts speaking all forms of gibberish. As predicted and since no be me only waka come, please  read below the response and read my next post for the full transcript of the meeting . Dia Ris Still God o

,Governor of Ekiti State,Ayo Fayose, has denied being involved in the alleged tape that the APC released ,which featured some PDP big wigs discussing how to rig the Ekiti elections.
Here is a press statement from the office of the Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose...

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described the audio clip released by the All Progressives Congress (APC), through  its media organ, SaharaReporters as fake, saying; he never held any meeting with anyone to rig the June 21, 2014 election, suggesting that his voice & those of others could have been faked using technology like Natural Voices.

He said the audio clip was APC's new calculated attempt to discredit the election results, having failed woefully both at the poll and the tribunal.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Idowu Adelusi said in a statement issued on Friday that the APC would have used the audio clip as evidence at the tribunal if it was genuine.

He said; "Nigerians should be reminded of how the APC people lied in 2007 that they recorded how the governorship election was rigged even in the palace of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe, but the party could not produce a single photo evidence at the tribunal because their plans to do what is know as Morphing and Syncing was exposed.

"Nigerians should also be reminded of the existence of a technology called speech software, which is good at reproducing the sounds, inflections and intonations of a human voice.

"There are softwares that can re-create voices and even bring the voices of long-dead notable persons back to life. There are softwares that can turn printed text into synthesized speech, making it possible for anyone to use recordings of a person's voice to utter new things that the person never said. One of such softwares is called 'Natural Voices.'

"The APC that we all know is a party of crooks, who are capable of doing anything, no matter how criminal to achieve their aim.

"They tried all tricks to manipulate the election and failed. Even after wining the election, they tried to prevent Fayose from assuming office but failed.

"Now it is a fake audio clip, which is obviously targeted at the next week presidential election.

"Another question that should be  asked by discerning minds is; if indeed such a meeting took place, could any of those purported to be present at the meeting have recorded the conversation and leaked it to the APC? Or was the supposed secret meeting held in the public such that it was possible for the conversations to be recorded?

"This fake audio manipulated with the use of

Nigerians,  especially the people of Ekiti who overwhelmingly voted Fayose as their governor should therefore ignore this new fabricated lie coming from the APC."

Tarahtalks- wetin dem for talk sef.. Would a witch voluntarily confess ? No be when ailala show der speaker dey burst ???
